Story: Bacanno! Has taken my loss of faith in anime and slapped it in my face. Bacanno probably had the best story that I have heard in a long time. Who doesn't like Gangs, early 1930s and immortals? They have something for everyone. Bacanno! Takes an approach that is a bit dangerous by going through 3 stories at the same time and at different years throughout the series. You have the Train story, the Firo... story... I guess that's the best way to describe it and the story of a girl looking for her brother. After watching the series a bit you will be able to put the dates together. 1930 - Firo, 1931 - Train, 1931 - Brother search(Not sure it might be 1932 also). The real problem I had with the jumping is that they don't warn you when they are changing the story, with a large amount of characters and the fact you see some characters in all stories, Issac and Miria, you tend to get lost at some time and connect the brother story to Firo's story but don't worry, it will all make sense in the end sorta... like memento you know that movie with the constant back tracing. Overall, Bacanno had done an excellent job with their story making three unique stories or at least more unusual stories. Immortals are kinda lame but whatever, it was a good series. Overall, the last 3 episodes seemed totally pointless and could have been condensed down to 1 episode for aftermath but they bring in a whole new story after the 3 other stories are finished. There are some interesting things in the last 3 episodes but there were also a lot of pointless things such as introducing another character who was by far the worst character in the story. Bacanno! Should have gone up to episode 14, 14 being the aftermath story and then ended it at that without bringing this whole new nonsense into the story.

Characters: Once again, Bacanno! plays a dangerous game by putting a large cast into the story as you will see in the opening. Some of those characters will not be important at all and it makes me question why they even bothered to give them an introduction. Some characters do not get introductions despite being important characters. However, gotta love that music at the beginning.

Let me start off with my favorite character: Jacuzzi Splot. I mean look at that name, it's so ridiculous that it made me focus more attention on him. Despite being an extreme baby at times, he tends to change his attitude based on the situation. Paired up with a tough looking chick with an eye patch and a desire to throw bombs, they make the perfect couple.

Aizen... I mean Luck Gandor - Luck Gandor has a few parts in the story and is worth introducing in the opening but he generally feels like a background character all the time along with his two friends that fade even further into the background. They try to give Luck more of a role in the last 3 episodes but it really isn't worth it. He does make me think of Aizen though from bleach... I think it's the hair and being all bad ass and such.

Firo - If you can think of a generic main character, Firo fits every stereotype of one. With a happy go lucky and laid back attitude while still having amazing fighting capabilities and being able to win over a girl's heart within two seconds, Firo has proven to be a perfect main character.

Maiza - Oh god his eyes are closed, he must be some type of bad ass or has a secret that know one else knows about. Yes people with closed eyes generally have that stereotype... ex. Xellos from Slayers. You don't want to mess with characters like this but As far as being super bad ass, he really isn't and is actually quite kind, I was on edge the whole time waiting for that bad ass moment... it never came by the way and I was sad.

Szilard - even after watching the series I still can't pronounce this man's name right. Szilard wasn't quite clear at the beginning what his role was going to be until a certain event happens and then your like... oh he's that type of person.

Ennis - There really isn't much to say about her but you can tell near the beginning that Firo totally liked her and that they were destined to meet again. This really isn't ruining anything, it is just a really common plot device that they use to have them meet up again.

Lua and Ladd - Okay... These people are either messed up or they have weird morals or both. Ladd, a very crazy person who thirst for killing has taken this girl Lua and promises her that he will kill her... seriously... that's messed up and her response is that she smiles and can't wait for him to do so... WHAT!? You also find this out early on.

Chane - You can already tell she was going to be bad ass from the beginning intro with that knife deal. Chane who depicts an emotionless stale character actually goes through character development which is somewhat surprising due to the thought that she was just a side character.

Eve and Dallas - Eve sets the woman's right movement back by a lot really the pure saint type character and Dallas, her brother is the exact opposite and is a punk. Her story really just ties up some loose ends in the story.

Czeslaw Meyer - A little kid... he obviously in not just a little kid based off episode two and you'll find out more when you watch the series. He's pretty annoying but I guess the end result is totally worth him being a part of the story.

Issac and Miria - Who appear in all stories basically, which confused me with the whole Eve and being on the train, It has confused me so much that I have decided to give up on thinking about it. However, Miria, is a really annoying character but essential to be partnered with Issac who has his moments. However, they could have toned down Miria's annoying with a less obnoxious voice no offense to the voice actor who played the part perfectly.

Dialog: As I pointed out in the characters and story, the dialog was fairly good, there were some incredibly silly lines that some people say but for the most part the dialog was good. There is one thing to point out that madde me laugh every time I heard it and especially in episode 16. There are these two worthless characters who only appear in the last episode and the first episode and just bore the viewer to death at the beginning. Yes the beginning episode was really poor and boring and could have been better if they lowered on the talking between these two characters. You need to bear through the first episode, I promise you the dialog will be better and it will be more entertaining. However, the word is Carol. The tall Vice-president will constantly say Carol and will say it really amusingly as he will over stress the a in Carol.

Animation: The beginning skips some animation but still is amazing nevertheless and will show you that the show will bounce around with stories. However, the animation is great, the colors they use really do make you think 1930s as well as the music played in the show. They put in a lot of effort to make this a good anime unlike most new anime which follow similar stories and big breasted women and lolis.

Entertainment: The show entertained me up until episode 14 where it started to bore me. However, I'll pretend 14-16 didn't exist and say that the show ended at 13 which makes it very very entertaining with a dry beginning. This is one show that is a must for all anime lovers as well as people who like the 1930s and immortals.

Despite the incredible emphasis on the name Carol, the anime had really amazing dialog
