Summary: |
Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman…in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc…only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. “Rock” (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc “Revy” as she thinks he’s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon. |

Throughout this whole entire series, I wasn't the least bit disappointed with how things actually turned out and developed. The music was captivating, the artwork was inspiring and the story line was over the top well done. There are a lot of gangster related shows that really don't have any messages or meanings behind the stories and fall a part due to just being about endless fighting and bloodshed. This story actually goes into depth every step of the way so that you know exactly whats happening and why so that it ends up leading you straight back into the world of the Black Lagoon team. One of my favorite series and definitely in my top 5 for anime series.
