Summary: Manji is a crass, violent samurai with a special ability: he cannot die. Mugen no juuin isn't just a good sword fighting anime, it have a deeper meaning than that. It indicates on meaningless revenge and that there is no good and bad people, there is only a good and a bad deeds and through the story characters confims that. So, there is a one antagonist Anotsu, but he is not all that bad. You will know him better and you will love him. Action and bloody gore scenes isn't best part of the anime. What I most liked are the plenty of enjoyable dialogues and very charismatic characters (Manji, Magatsu, Anotsu..) and one very beautiful musical theme.
Probably the anime is not very the best adaptation of the manga, and this is my biggest complaint. I yearn for the second season!
