Great Anime ... Until Extra-Long Fillers Hit

The story is great and worthy of note if you haven't watched it. I would recommend watching it, but look out for the long fillers that are more like 30+ episode side-arcs that take you away from the story and are very poorly constructed.

I would highly recommend looking for a bleach filler list and skipping those episodes listed. You can always revisit them at a later time. Some of the short fillers are enjoyable and interesting though as they aren't nearly as long. I did watch all the fillers though, but the 30+ episode side-arc filler has drawn on for too long and it seems to hit just when there is some intense action in the main story. It really disappoints you when you get pulled away from the main story.

Overall the anime is worthy of note. The action is what I often describe as Dragonball Z with swords. It also contains more in-depth character developement and storyline than Dragonball Z. Just be ready to set yourself up for watching A LOT of episodes.
