Summary:
FLCL revolves around Naota. His life is interrupted by the arrival of Haruko Haruhara, who bursts on the scene by running Naota over with her Vespa scooter, then giving him CPR and hitting him on the head with a blue vintage Rickenbacker 4001 left-handed reverse strung electric bass guitar.Later, Naota is shocked to find Haruko working in his house as a live-in maid.
Way back in 2003 it was really 'new' and unique, now I've seen some other animes that are as random or even more random than this show. It's surprisingly 'deep' as far as the story goes, mostly because literally nothing turns out about anything, we don't know who the villains and our heroes are.
I liked how short it was, it didn't get way too emotional like many others just in order to prolong the series, which is something really cool( I think almost everyone would agree upon this who watched the full series).
It's unpopularity, or more like nonexistent popularity is uncalled for, it's a lot like Gurren Lagann. I'm pretty sure that this show inspired the author of the said show.
I've read some reviews, and I can sorta understand those that gave it a 1 or 2, not a 5 or 4. You can only love or hate this show.
The rock BGM never stops, that can get irritating, but that was the only thing I didn't like about this show.
