Summary: |
Set in a slightly futuristic world where Earth has been invaded and is at war with aliens from another dimension called the Nova, the story follows the adventures of a Japanese boy named Kazuya Aoi who enrolls for training at a special school for genetically modified girls called Pandoras who battle the aliens, and their male partners, called Limiters, who use a special power called "freezing" to limit their opponent's mobility. The protagonist makes the acquaintance of an unusual older girl named Bridgette L. Satellizer who appears to be the most powerful Pandora in her class, but has not yet chosen a male partner to be her Limiter, and in spite of the warnings of all his friends, he decides to be her Limiter. |

I like the animation aspect because you get to see what they would really look like when making some crazy moves as well as getting to hear what they could have sounded like. Portraying the two main characters visually and verbally are well represented. The quiet, misunderstood, the protective and kind hearted, to the sadistic and egotistical characters are only as good as their voice. Its entertaining in its own way. Probably the most notable part of is the ecchi. The anime is very ecchi, about similar to kanakon, ikkitousen (assuming I spelled it right), as well as others. In manga, if you are really into the story line, you probably wont care or bother to notice the nudity. In anime, well what can I say, can you not notice? The draw back when making anime from a manga is that it can be way off from the original story in terms of the plot, portrayal of physical characteristics, and time. This is where I give it a rather low rating. It probably can't be helped that it can't be as accurate as the manga but that is what happens if you read and watch the manga, they are not as good (at least some anyway). For those that have read the manga, will understand what I mean. In my opinion, the manga is better and the anime could have been better. For those that haven't, I'll leave it up to you to decide. The story moves too fast in the anime for me as well as changes that have been made in terms of character design. Character reactions to certain events are lacking. The events that occur are altered or unnecessary which make it less entertaining to me. But there are some upsides to this anime that make it worth it. You actually start to "feel" the emotions that occur between characters. Being targeted and the source of everyone's anger and aggression toward the main heroine made me feel angry at how egotistical and ignorant these characters are. Also, the ED is awesome. The rhythm and vocals are something else. Hopefully, the story will become better in the anime so I am crossing my fingers on it becoming 5 star rating. Until then, its as good as it gets.
