Mai Taniyama is an average high school student who is fascinated by ghost stories and the paranormal. After accidentally breaking a camera and getting a man injured, she has to repay her debt by taking a part-time job as assistant to a psychic detective. This spunky 15-year-old goes from telling ghost stories to living one of her own, as the myths and legends she and her friends once enjoyed unravel before her. |

definitely a good thriller. can get seriously scary and the mysteries are not at all predictable. the main characters begin to develope close bonds so there's that 'unlikely bunch growing into a loving family' element. comic relief does exist but is not common since the anime tries to keep a suspenseful mood. highly recommended for thriller seekers but if you're looking for a similiar anime with a lighter mood and more comedy, i recommend zombie loan.
