It runs off soon after, with Tamaki chasing after it. Soon Tamaki finds herself in a place where ‘it doesn’t feel like the world I came from’. She gets attacked by three slime creatures, and a male comes charging in to save her - by clamping his hands around her body and mouth and telling her to be quiet.

Great animation, poor story

The first thing that caught my attention with Hiiro no Kakera was the animation, it was well-done and truly eye-candy. Unfortunately, the the only thing that makes this anime pop-out everything else seems to be average and there are time were the story gets a bit frustrating most specially the fight scenes. If you love reverse harem (girls surrounded by pretty boys) then this anime may appeal to you, there is even a bit of fan service were you get to see each male character do some dialogue at the end of each episode. Typical of a game to anime genre the characters are one-dimensional each having their own persona with little or no improvement as the story progresses, except perhaps Mahiro who showed a bit of vulnerability after his fight with Logos. Tamaki is your typical heroine suddenly thrust into a role of priestess who tries to be there for her guardians, however, ends up being more of nuisance. I hope the 2nd chapter of this anime prove to be a lot more interesting because there is absolutely nothing that make this anime stand-out except for the animation and perhaps the "fan-service" for some bishounen fans.
