The first time I watched season 1 i got very bored because in every episode ,the main characther Ai Enma A.K.A Hell Girl ,does the same thing Saying O pitiful shadow lost in the darkness ans so on. But don't give up on it just because as you get farther and farther into the show the main stroy starts to become more and more clear.I don't want to spoil any thing for you because this is just a review.But I tell you some that you should expect to happen.At exactly midnight a website called Hell Correspondence ( Jigoku tsuushin ) can be access and by typing the name of the person you bare a strong hatred for, you can send them to hell but first a deal will have to be made.You will be givin a doll with a red string on it and by pulling the string you can send the person you hate to hell and at that moment two holes will appear and you too will be sent to hell but thats when you die ofcourse. Well thats just the basic of the show.To learn more about Ai's mysterious past that made her become hell girl just this Amazing and heart touching show because the will be moment where you will feel like crying! Once I finished watching season 1 I just had to watch the other two seasons. I on season three right now I'm just so sad that seson 3 is the last season =( . This anime is gorgeous, The main character, enma ai, is so beautiful and her voice is angelic. First time i watched this, i was somewhat confused in the beginning for about 9 episodes. I want her kimono so bad. It also makes you wonder, for some of the reasons why people sent others to hell, why would someone send someone else because of that reason if it meant you are going to end up in hell as well? The music for this anime is creepy in a good way, so many words could be said like elegance and beautiful, gorgeous, angelic, etc. The 1st season definitely makes you want to watch the 2nd. This show is disturbingly, psychologically gripping. Once you see the first episode, you'll want to watch the next episode. Episode 1 was like "Huh?" for the first few minutes. Then it was like "Oh...". Then it was like "........". This show will get to you mentally and view things differently. The reason I say this is because each episode has a different story involving different characters and their daily hardships (some more than others while the rest are completely beyond humane). You want to see mental, emotional, and completely downright insane? This show is for you. The dialogue for each character portrays their troubles VERY intensely, as though you can feel their pain and personality. The young mistress (Ai) voice is just (as an example or vague description) chilling, especially around the end. It just sticks to you. Her appearance also captures you when she says that one line near the end. As for the rest, it is almost has a touch of realism to both background and characters. It truly is something. The entertainment that I feel comes from what I said in the beginning - disturbingly, psychologically gripping. You just want to keep watching and see more as well as to see who else is feeling the pressure of their cruel world. Just as an extra note, this is just after watching two episodes. This is not for the emotionally, mentally weak. It may or may not disturb some but if you look past the situations each characters experience, then this is the show to watch.
