If you are familiar with macross series, then you will already know what to expect.
1. Awesome aerial dogfights
2. A love story of some sort
3. ALOT OF SINGING
Macross Zero tones down the emphasis on the usual Pop Idol love affair in favor of something a bit more fantasy based (i.e. the magical songtress), but it doesn't subtract much the whole package. The dogfights in this series are a step above most mecha anime, and the animation inbetween fight scenes is very good. Most of the characters are likeable but, they dont have something that you can latch onto and miss them when they leave the stage.
I had some problems with the story, but I know I'm gonna watch this series again in the near future.
