Demons that once almost destroyed the world, are revived by someone. To prevent the world from being destroyed, the demon has to be sealed and the only one who can do it is the shrine maiden Shion from the country of demons, who has two powers; one is sealing demons and the other is predicting the deaths of humans. This time Naruto's mission is to guard Shion, but she predicts Naruto's death. The only way to escape it, is to get away from Shion, which would leave her unguarded, then the demon, whose only goal is to kill Shion will do so, thus meaning the end of the world. Naruto decides to challenge this "prediction of death."
This was quite a surprise for me. Expecting something similar to the third and fourth Naruto Shippuuden Movie releases this one came as nice addition that knocked the previous Shippuden films out by a landslide. We get to see Naruto in a whole new setting - this being the Blood Prison and what is so odd about this film is that the characterizations of the antagonist as well as the so called "good guys" are totally not what one would expect. At some points in the film, I found myself asking "Is this really Naruto?" because the style of the animation and the dialogue was far more realistic than that normal Hero stuff you continuously hear Naruto spout every time he takes on an enemy. In this film you see Naruto at his Shinobi best (and for once he does not look like an idiot most of the time). I can't say more without starting to write spoilers so I will leave you with this - THE MOVIE IS AWESOME AND YOU WOULD BE CRAZY NOT TO WATCH IT. PLEASE WATCH THIS FILM!! YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF :P.
