At first I liked this anime till after Zaboza VS Team7 encounter. But at the first Konoha arc, The fights took so long even though I liked the fights overall, but there were so many fillers. Then more fillers begun on and on which was really boring. What made me to watch the anime afterward was to know what happens because it has a very good story. Soecially in late shippuuden series the missed puzzles show up and everything makes sense.
The anime has many main-characters and all of them are just good worked on, You can connect to almost all of them.
Dialogues are just fine. but the animation could be much better. It's just fair and regarding the every-week release of the anime, I could not expect much more, just a bit more better animation.
From entertainment aspect the anime is good. There are romance, Comedy and fighting scenes which give the anime a good balance.

One huge bad thing about the anime:
At first techniques looked normal, more human like which was great. Hand seals had normal speed etc and as we could say there were not many characters with very special abilities. but as the anime moves on, people get faster, weirder and so many unknown characters with super powers! IF you check shippuuden with the first series you'll see a chuunin is stronger than Sandime in action while We know Sandime was superb! There should have been a balance in it.

Overall in these genre, I say Naruto first series gets 3 out of 5 and Shippuuden gets 4 out of 5
