The story centers around Saburou, a high school boy who time-travels to Japan's Sengoku Era. He must become Nobunaga Oda, the famed warlord who helps unite Japan.
Nobunaga Concerto, A surprisingly well written and authentic take on Japanese History with a futuristic take. Unlike other anime setting in the past using futuristic weapons or settings, Final Fantasy is a great example. Nobunaga Concerto stays true to actual people and events that happened in the warring states period in Japan. Everything in the show is like i learned in Japanese history (I'm from Japan FYI) but offering a different take of reasons to why it did happen. Unlike Nobunagun or Nobunaga the Fool that aired earlier this year, this one is completely watchable and hooks you in from the first minuet. The characters are likable, Kichou is hot! and is anime at it's rare finest. the character design is incredible, just like a vintage drawing you would find in an art store but with the 3D engine. I would like to give this Anime an all 5, but I can't. The story moves too fast and leaves a lot of questions in each episode, which is probably because the show has to cover over 20 years of Oda Nobunaga's life and achievements.
Although you have to know Japanese history to understand some of the events that happen and why it's funny to someone who knows about Oda Nobunaga's life, It is a great watch. and recommend it to everyone.
