Four eyed kid with katana??

I visited ANN page (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=11174) of this series for more information. There I saw a different poster in which there is a small school kid with a katana on his hand. At that moment I had my negative thought on this series. I hate series in which little kids are heroes and they save the earth. That's only a little kid! What is he gonna do with that katana in his hand? Even if the tries to chop some onions he would probably cut his finger and start crying out load and call his mommy. I refuse to watch these kind of crap.
