Rosario + Vampire Capu2 is really just a continuation to the not-really-that-unique-or-special vampire love story of Rosario + Vampire. The characters mature, and the gang's situation deepens and gets a bit more serious, but that's pretty much it. Since it started all with just another average vampire story from the beginning, the sequel doesn't quite take it anywhere outside the box.
The sequel is just like the first series, equally, if not a bit more or less entertaining. It's still a nice light watch, but really is not for people who are looking for a seriously good anime to enjoy. The animation is still pretty top-notch though, and overall, I can't say it's exactly "boring" to watch either. If you liked the first series, go ahead and enjoy the sequel. It won't surprise but just satisfy you if you are craving more of this anime.
