Completed
Summary:
Shinnosuke "Shin-chan" Nohara is a little boy who seems to do everything he can to annoy his parents and teachers (and succeeds wildly), but only means the best. He just tries to have a good time and in doing so does things which will create the maximum vexation in others.
It took me a few episodes to get past the initial shock of the more simplistic art. The original Japanese version of this show started in the late 90s, which is why it is drawn the way it is. During the timeframe that this show started, there wasn't a lot of new and innovative programs with which to do animation as there are now. So given the starting time, I believe this to be average in animation quality.
After a few of the English episodes, the show started to seep in. I found the show to be highly entertaining to those of us who enjoy shows like Family Guy or Simpsons as others have said. At times there's a subtle humor that some might not get right away. Watching it all more than once I would catch more bits and pieces that I didn't notice in the first run through.
I would suggest this show to anyone who enjoys shows like South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, or even The Simpsons. If these shows are not something you're into, you will miss the brilliant humor in this series and I would suggest skipping this all together.
My only complaint is that there hasn't been a third season. It makes me want to punch a bunny and eat happy cake to quiet the gloomies!
