Based on the same-name Game Cube and Play Station game, "Tales of Symphonia".
Two worlds exist, both unaware of the existance of the other. In order for one world to flourish, the other will have to perish. On the perishing world, a Choosen one is send on a journey to restore that world's mana by awakening the Spirits and becoming an angel. Colette Brunel, the Choosen of Sylvarant, sets out on her journey accompanied by her best friends Lloyd Irving and Genis Sage. As they travel further they meet more friends and even more enemies, while they learn more and more about the truth behind the World Regeneration.
One point I would like to make is that the show itself is BEAUTIFUL. The animation is fluid and the colors are wonderful. Even if you don't like the show itself, the artwork is worth looking at.
As far as the adaptation of the show from the video game, considering they had to take a game with up to 80 hours of game play and shrink half of it down to 4 episodes, I think they did a good job. I would say though that unless you have played the gamecube game the story will probably be a bit hard to understand becuase it moves so fast. They changed a lot of stuff, but once again, considering the time constraints, I think they did a pretty good job.
If you are a fan of the game, you will most likely enjoy watching this.
