The Legend of Korra is an American animated television series, that premieres on the Nickelodeon television network on April 14, 2012. The series is a sequel to Avatar: The Last Airbender, which aired on the same network from 2005 to 2008, and is currently set to run for 26 episodes
Like it or not, it's not as in-depth as the first season. This is done on purpose as it is a min-series.
The faster pace doesn't really allow the story to develop as well as it could, but just revisiting the world of Avatar was enough to interest me, and the display of how the world changed over time is nicely done.
The story involves a bunch of new characters that you have no real connection to, nor do they tie in with the previous seasons characters. This would be fine if it wasn't so contrary to the faster pace of the show. If they had more time to develop the characters, or starred relatives of the first season, it may have made a better connection with fans of the show.
All in all it's one solid animation, fairly entertaining, and worth your time if you are a fan of Avatar.
If however the world of Avatar does not interest you, you're not missing out on much if you pass this one by.
