YURI/SOUL EATER?????

honestly 2 episodes in and i'm literally obsessed with this series. Yes in an unbiased answer from someone who absolutely adores yuri the story isn't 100% new as many aspects of the series can be seen in many shows like soul eater etc. But GirlxGirl is the main focus of the series and it's nice because well totally yuri only focused anime are not easy to come by usually ranging from 1 or 3 series every 2 years. earlier this year "Yuri Kuma Arashi" came out which i also highly recommend watching.

But yes there is a lot of boobs and panty shots/ecchi and the highly apparent sexualisation aspects but it's not overly gruelling to put someone off watching it but i do wish there was less of it. It's also nice how the somewhat blooming romance between the 2 MC's is shown in a positive manner where the romance is not some fling or one off fan service, and they still have yet to develop they're relationship aspect with each other seeing as it's only 2 episodes in. In terms of character analysis i really like most characters in general and love Mirei shikishima's character she's an absolute bad ass yet she doesn't speak very much and Mamori Tokonome would be the usual innocent shy girl.

The OP of the series "OVERDRIVE" sung by Hitomi Harada is Spot on and fits the show perfectly and i can't get the song seriously out of my head, the ED is very catchy and cute and the soundtrack is superb.

Overall i recommend watching this if you like yuri, action,fantasy. and honestly if you don't like it don't watch it, i think the show has gotten to much negativity from people already and even comparing it to "Boku no Pico" which is quite annoying to see and disappointing and it seems many people are critiquing badly soley on it's yuri/lesbian themes. But again give the show a chance mabye you'll like it.
