Summary:
A.D. 2142 - Overpopulation and excessive pollution have made majority of Earth uninhabitable. The only safe haven for mankind is a city called "ECOBAN," which actually uses pollution through the DELOS System as a means of energy. While searching the city for an infiltrator from the wastelands, ECOBAN officer Jay discovers that the intruder is her old friend Shua. A former ECOBAN citizen, Shua has sided with a militia from Marr to bring down ECOBAN's tyrannical reign and restore the Earth's environment.
Animation is superb! I am amazed how this movie looks visually! Wonderfully animated landscapes and futuristic environment dragged me deeper and deeper into the story. I really enjoyed watching motorbike ride scenes. That was really relaxing and exciting at the same time. The characters are perfectly and seriously animated. Jay is beautiful heroine and Shua is handsome hero. Main protagonists and post apocalyptic ambient with dark atmosphere reminds me a little of Ergo Proxy. Shua is coarser version of Vincent Law, and Jay is gentler version of Real Mayer. Story is solid, not very original for some Sc-Fi type but I like it very much. This is one of the better anime motion picture that I saw in last time. I don't understand how can this have no more reviews.
So if you a fan of simple, easy and cheap animation with a bunch of loli girls in some meaningless comedy scenes where suddenly appear bombastic superhero than I recommend you to skip this show.
