I enjoyed the anime, until the part where Oga fights the strongest of Ishiama, Tora. After that point jokes became repetive, jokes can be seen ahead, and you feel the anime is lenghtened on purpose. Hildegarded becomes more and more annoying and amount of "strong" women is ridicilous. Too bad... the start is great and had it held the pace I would love it.
(And if anyone thinks Im sexists... yes, I am:))

The first chapter of this mange got me laughing. When Oga and Furuichi imagined what the demon lord looked like, but even that it seems the animation studio couldn't probably adapt.
They seem to particularly enjoy the urination joke though.
I don't know. I don't have the energy or ability to explain my disappointment with this show, particularly since I couldn't bear to watch more than one episode.
It's the adaptation of the manga and I personally feel that the manga is the one to go with.
Personal dissapointments aside, perhaps you ( read more)

Personal dissapointments aside, perhaps you could enjoy a general watch here. I honestly don't know it's situation with filler episodes or whether it's still being animated, but more power to the author for getting his show animated, and more power to fans who wish to see the glorious beat downs in full coloured glory.
I'll just chip in a little of the core manga story that this is based on: That is GOOD. Oga is a no-nonsense hero who is badass. And actually fit's the noun/adjective. It doesn't get boring (who can with the pure evil wall plants he executes, the one hit k.o's, beautiful, beautiful Hilda and comic-relief Furuichi on the case.)
The story itself from the mange I give a proud 8/10 (it's hard for a shounen to be a masterpiece. ) and I hold it in high esteem.
So apart from my personal dissapointments, Beelzebub is a great story and totally worth looking at (Which i mean in terms of the mange of course *hint *hint) ( show less)

Beelzebub is one of my favourite manga's and I really wanted to love the animated version but that school at the end of Oga's fight and the episodes near the end ruined it for me. I Also thought they could have done the fight scenes. It's not a terrible adaption but too many fillers and some shoddy animation leave it a sub par anime.

In overall, a series with a lot of fillers. Quite enjoyable but is not highly recommended for anime fans with strong focus on storylines. The storyline aspect is rather neglected and abandoned, especially after the messed-up 'forced' ending at the few last eposides. However the intense focus on humors are quite enjoyable for starters.
If you're the type of anime fan who finds 'Doraemon' or the classic 'Ninja Hattori-kun' as enjoyable. This is for you. But if you love anime with good storyline, I'd advise you to refrain from this one....

I watched it, and to be honest I didnt think it was that funny. The jokes are usually, kinda lame.
You shouldnt expect to much of the story and dialogue... Not worth my time.

Ugh. "Evil is good" trope making its way into yet another anime. Oh, a nun saying that as long as the demon and the others...
