Action-packed with a clever story this is a treat for Bleach fans(and Hitsugaya fans especially since the story focus around him). The only thing that could take anyone out of the movie is that the main plot does contradict Hitsugayas past in the manga pretty much. Although its still a pretty clever idea and they sort of glossed over that part when it became time to animate that part of the manga anyway(It was sort of a manga special). And while the manga version was very sweet and endearing I actually prefer this movie version since it gives Hitsugaya an incredible amount of debt and a sense of guilt for his lost friend. The final act of the movie sort of suffers from the general trappings of shonen anime climaxes but its still a fun watch since the battles are fairly intense. (show less)

If you’re a Bleach fan in general, a Hitsugaya fan, or best both, this movie’s for you. (You do need some background about what’s going on in the series, just saying.)

The story is well thought-out, unique, and quite heartwarming. The whole conflict revolves around Hitsugaya’s past coming back to haunt him, and shows how strictly Seireitei sticks to rules. The plot is somewhat unexpected in the beginning but sadly rather predictable towards the end. The villain’s mystery keeps the story going, and will probably keep you at the edge of your seat, though I couldn’t help but feel like the villain himself could have a bit more background. Other than that, this movie provides nonstop action, adventure, mystery/suspense, friendship, and a light touch of slice of life.

The dialogue is above the usual Bleach level, although it becomes somewhat cheesy before the ending song. (The file I have keeps stopping thirty seconds into the ending song :( ) Dialogue and action are well-balanced in the beginning, though it leans heavily towards action later. Hardcore fans will definitely be at the edge of their seats…

The animation has its slight hiccups but is still high definition. Action sequences are intense, although the *really* strong people (aka captains) don’t get much to do. The final fight could have been more detailed IMO; for a supposedly strong guy, the villain was defeated way too fast.

Guess saying much more would be spoiling… “The Diamond Dust Rebellion” is an intense action movie with a laugh or two and a quite rich storyline with well-executed character build. A must-watch especially for Hitsugaya fans, but probably a well-spent 1.5 hours for any Bleach fan. (show less)

This movie is about Hitsugaya Toushiro who is one of the captain in Gotei 13 squad.In the beginning of the story, Hitsugaya was assign to escort the King Seal transportation ceremony.While the precious relic was transported,it was attack by an enemy from Hueco Mundo or hell.Then the seal was stolen and hitsugaya persuit the stoler but unfortunately he was accused to be the one who stole the seal.So came Ichigo and his friend to try save hitsugaya from being excuted for the reason he had betray seiretei or heaven.This movie is quit good but the was not a lot of joke or fun scene. This could make the movie too rigid because of compacted with fighting scene. It told about values of friendship and sacrifices which not too common in today society.

The graphic quality or the animation is very good and i like how the character was design but the are lacking in term of new character design for example the character are still looking the same and doesn’t change too much. That might cause people to feel bored. (show less)
