I agree, this is perfect vampire anime film! For some period of my life I was literally nuts for any kind of vampire movies (silent films, black and white, classic with Lugosi or Christopher Lee) so I accidentally saw this one. I was intereseted to see some animated movie about vampires. I must say that I didn't saw Blood + or Blood - C, and I have no intention to watch that because I lost my interest to see more vampire series or films. Blood the last vampire is not very long, only 48 minutes but it's awesome, it keep your attention from beginning to the end. Exciting bloody scenes are very nice animated, it have also tense horror moments and dark tond of gore. Main character, anti - heroine Saya is beautiful! This anime movie is better than some regular non animated vampire movie! So if you a fan of anime and vampire than you must watch this! (show less)

This is a story about Saya a vampire hunter that hunts vampires with her samurai sword while wearing a highschool girls' school uniform (so many cool adjectives in one sentence here). Released in 2000, this anime can be classified as an anime that can withstand the test of time in terms of you can watch it today and it will still be as fun and entertaining as it was to the fans that watched it 12 years ago. Amazingly drawn, the mood and tone of this anime is phenomenal. The story is short and uncomplicated (so as you can concentrate more on the action scenes). If you have not seen it DO IT NOW. Blood: The Last Vampire continues this trend, offering up some of the best-looking animation in recent memory. In terms of action, atmosphere, and visual beauty, Blood: The Last Vampire succeeds quite admirably. But the lack of a solid plot or engaging characters keeps Blood from becoming an anime classic.
