Tamers is a new take on Digimon with a touch of realism. All characters are nuanced and develop over the course of the story. The series was written by the writer of Serial Experiments Lain, and parallels can be drawn between the two. This series is overall more psychological than the other Digimon series. The fewer main characters than Adventure allow Tamers to look into its characters with far more depth than the other series, which is good since Digimon series always have been somewhat character driven. Like Adventure it starts slow but escalates in scale and pace over the whole run. (show less)

Just when you think that the makers of Digimon have finally lost their mind and begun running out of original ideas they push up the bar once more and come up with something brilliant...!! Digimon and their tamers now have add ons!! I always hated the fact that digimon and their partners had a single attack, like Agumon and his pepper breath. With this new series tamers are able to add extra abilities using cards like, giving wings to their partners.

This is a definitely a come back for the digimon series, I would highly recommend that this series be watched as it is more intense than it's predecessors and has been enhanced in terms of digimon fights and different types of evolutions (show less)
