Summary: |
A group of enigmatic white-haired children has been spotted at different times and places in Europe for over 500 years. Always with the appearance of 11-year-olds, they behave far more mature than they should be, never grow old, and seem to have supernatural power. What they have been seeking is a girl, and the only clue they have is a picture with a crescent moon. Now, in the year of 2012, an athletic boy named Tohma is about to be involved in this centuries-long mystery. |

So, first of all, "NTR-esque" warning for those thinking of watching this, before anything else. The show is also full of tasteless writing in many other places, many instances of which are never properly explained.
It is difficult to accurately rate Fantastic Children. Closure is partial, as it ends with many loose ends still unresolved. In the epilogue, many characters are simply completely forgotten to be addressed at all, as well as other open issues, as previously mentioned.
It has many side-stories going on in parallel, but in the end, ( read more)

It has many side-stories going on in parallel, but in the end, half of it all turned out to be simply filler so that an already-slow-paced anime is even further dragged out, so that a story that is easily told in 13 episodes is stretched into 26 episodes.
It works great as a drinking game, however: take a shot each time they show a character's face trembling. Watch your liver. ( show less)

Having just finished fantastic children, I can say that was probably one of the best mystery anime I have ever seen!
In the beginning, I was throughly confused and from other comments on this series, I was not the only one. for about the first 10 episodes, you are almost mystified with all of the strange events and there just don't seem to be any answers to any of the questions! I had to keep on watching, it was one of those things that if I stopped without getting at least some answers, well lets just say it would keep me thinking about it ( read more)

I had to keep on watching, it was one of those things that if I stopped without getting at least some answers, well lets just say it would keep me thinking about it for a very long time.
Even though, the last half of the series seems to be uncovering mystery after mystery and it just seems like completely ground breaking stuff, it is done in such a way that it doesn't seem to be rushing you through the series. It actually seemed really slow to me, but after watching the series, I wonder how they told the whole story in only 26 episodes.
I hope that someone can find the last 8 ep and upload them on here, I could not find them to dl anywhere! I had to stream the last few episodes on kumby, they seem to be the only site that has working links.
If you want a good mystery and what seems to be a star crossed lovers thing, though that doesn't show up until near the end, then you should watch this one! It's great! ( show less)
