Wow, Fight Ippatsu takes ecchi to a whole new level!
This is a short series so I wasn't expecting too much out of it but what I got was a whole lot of (ahem) entertainment! Yes, it has plenty of gratuitous fanservice so if you're not into that then look away, but otherwise this was a fairly fun-filled romp with a semi-solid storyline and plenty of slapstick (with a bat!) comedy!
Technically, I enjoyed the artwork and the fluid animation. Nothing terribly impressive but it didn't detract from the story in any way. Dialog was tight and not overly complicated. I enjoyed the music throughout the series and the BGM was appropriate to set the tone.
You can't really complain too much about cute semi-nude girls but there were a few aspects that were lacking. Of course the length of the series is short and there is a background story in there somewhere that isn't fully fleshed out... and it did take me some time to get over the shock of seeing girls repeatedly hit in the head with a baseball bat!! Ok the reaction from Alesta was funny but overall I felt that gag was a bit overused.
Ah who am I kidding, this is a great short series to get you out of the doldrums and get your 'charge' back! Just be warned the 'specials' are even *more* over the top than the regular episodes so don't try watching these at work.... what? I'd never do that!
