A simple yet fulfilling anime, which I consider one of the best. Rather than go into depth with a long, drawn out story, this anime moves very quickly and is full of humorous and touching events. The relationships are easy to understand and the characters each possess a distinct personality. The first episode introduces all the characters at once and it can feel a little overwhelming trying to remember all the names. Once you get past that though, it's nothing but fun and you'll find it pretty hard to forget any of the characters. I can really appreciate an anime like this. Gakuen Heaven runs along the same lines of series' like Ouran High School Host Club (in fact, one of the characters in GH shares a seiyu with a character in Ouran!)

All the people in the show have their own backstories and reasons for doing what they do, and while the first few eps are mainly to set up the story and introduce people, once the story gets going it's kinda addictive! You end up rooting for the good guys, against the bad guys and hoping that it all turns out ok for everyone in the end.

There are a number of seiyu in GH that also voice characters in other good anime (Bleach, Kyou Kara Mao, D.Gray-Man) so you might spend the first few eps going "I'm sure I know that voice..." *lol*

It's a sweet and easy-to-watch, short BL anime that will leave you feeling just that little big happier by the end! (show less)
