Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou started good but the second half was to serious.

The idea behind the story is original but I think the story could use some changes. I wouldn't have mind if there wasn't as much fighting and the main character wasn't so powerful. More school life, less big fights.

The conversations were entertaining because of the different types of (cliché) characters. I think some of the characters should even have gotten a little more screen time.

The animation is what I would have expected from a recent anime.

I got my hopes up to high by watching the first half of this series. Unfortunatly the second half wasn't as good. I even hated the episode in between. (show less)

Well, this one is a bit tricky..

The plot itself has the potential to be a great anime and it surely is up to episode 6/7. The first 6 episodes are fantastic, extremely funny and (of course) ecchi. Akuto Sai and the other characters are well chosen.
In this episodes u get the whole omg-he-is-the-demonlord-and-will-kill-us-all-e.g.-thing a lot.
As i said these are very good and u surely can laught a lot.


Starting from the middle of the anime it turns, well.. weird. A "sidecharacter" turns into a superhero with lasers and that kind of stuff, u get a gigantic al out battle with only a few guys fighting and all ends to just start again. Those who watched it certainly know what I´m talking about.

It´s just my personally opinion, but the first half is way better than the second.
All in all i would say it´s a good one, because the first episodes nearly made me roll on the floor laughing ;) (show less)

This anime is one of the few that was able to hold my attention from beginning to end. The animation was fantastic and the characters each had their own personality and story and the regular pantie shots as well as the many perverted scenes in the show managed to be quite humorous rather than dirty. On the other hand, this show also felt too rushed as you got into the middle of the series and the ending seemed all too soon. The story could have been explored more thoroughly and the ending just left me confused and wanting more. Overall i was pleased with the series but i still feel it should have lasted longer. This anime seems to have a lot of potential, but they had to rush the entire serie into 12 episodes which is really a bad idea imo.

Story good (4/5):

Surprisingly, we have an already overpowered character as the protagonist and right now (episode 9.. 3 episodes left) we still don't have the feeling that the character is some kind of power lust psycho like in traditional fighting anime (Bleach, Naruto...). Each character has his/her own unique personality. The ecchi part of the anime is kind of exaggerating (If you watch the Uncensored version) but it fits the comedy. The situation of the protagonist in the very first episodes are very funny.

Dialogue average (3/5):

Your typical serious protagonist, his strong-but-must-be-protected-female-possible-romance with a classic strong-but-later-devoted dialogue and the "evil characters" who always seem confident...

Animation Good (4/5):

Beside episode 7, which was a total epic fail in animation (missing frames ?), the animation overall is good.

Entertainment Excellent (5/5):
