Definitely not one for the purists this anime is a new variation of te old Iron Man stories. Essentially Iron Man is in Japan trying to create an arc reactor to give the country free and sustainable energy while an organisation known as zodiac is tring to stop him. The storyline is excellent with interesting characters, dynamic events and impressive enemies. The dialogue however lets it down a little as there are many pointless dialogues that do not help to develop the storyline or characters. The excellent animation makes up for this, with beuatifully drawn mechanics and excellently rendered combat scenes. Personally I like comedy style anime with direct jokes so I found this anime a little less interesting than others. Still if you enjoy a good storyline and great animation this is an excellent anime for you. (show less)

when i heard that iron man will be given the anime treatment i have high expectation..however, i must say that though the story is quite unique it lacks certain characteristics that made it into a great adaptation. Average enemies like robotic zodiacs doesn't really give much substance to the series compared to more well-known villains like the Mandarin or MODOK. The 3d is also a bit of a let down since i've seen much polished version done by GONZON like Vandread it would have better if they stick to 2d instead. The only good factor are the fight scenes which are more fluid in movements compared to the western versions. (show less)
