Whilst the appeal of its first season lay in grand part on gothic appeal and humour, this one kind of ruins both. Still an insanely unpredictable background plot with intriguing character design, but this also has a lot more cruelty than its first season. Recommended only for those who don't mind a further descent into the darkness. Note, the end differs from the manga and may not be to everyone's taste.
