* Based on Minami Kanan's Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu shoujo romance manga.
Tsubaki is a girl who loves making her younger sister's hair pretty every morning, but she doesn't think that kind of style suits herself! The day of her High School Beginning Ceremony, after she failed in being the top student (who usually makes the ceremony speech), she finds herself sitting next to the actual top student of the first years, the worst rude guy ever, Kyouta. She ends up cutting his hair on purpose because of the bad things he says to her. Kyouta demands that Tsubaki pay him back with her body, but Tsubaki fixes his hair instead--making it even shorter! After that, Kyouta unexpectedly kisses Tsubaki and swears that he'll make her his woman. |

Not good for newcomers

This OVA is not even close to telling the story of Kyou, Koi o Hajimemasu. Newcomers are bascially thrown into the story with no knowledge of how it all began, and that's a kinda turn-off for me. The OVA could have been decent, if it was done better on this part, but I guess they couldn't make a lot from the budget they had on this. So a good idea would definitely be, read the first 15 or so chapters of the manga, then come back and watch the anime. It sure helps a lot.
That being said, this OVA has some pluses as it has some of my favorite voice ( read more)

This sucks! Maybe it can work for people who didn't read the manga, and still, it would be very confusing. Whoever made this anime didn't think things trough... One advice? The story is really good, read the manga. I promise you won't be disapointed.
By the way, why not make a full lenght anime of this? Then it would be awesome. Not this 15 minute piece of crap... I hated it.

I really liked this! I think of it more as a compilation of the key scenes in the manga vs. a substitute for it. I wouldn't watch this unless you're read the manga. A nice treat for fans of the series! I hope they make more!

i thought the ova will be really interesting but what a let down. it skip soo much i was like...what the heck? if i had never read the manga i would be like, "what just happened here? first, she hates him 'n now she's trying to get him da like her?" it skip sooo much into the story that it didn't make any sense... people, before you watch this ova i think it's best to read the manga cuz than you'll have a better understanding of what the heck is going on. plus, manga is always better. animation is great but everything else suck. i have to ( read more)

I agree that this OVA is rather disappointing compared to the manga. The manga is soo much better. From what i have checked, this OVA has only 1 episode in total. There will not be more episodes coming out for it. Sigh! But nonetheless, we have the manga to go for.!!

I have been reading the manga for a long time and i was really excited to see that there was a episode on this, but i was actually really disappointed when i watch it.
