Summary: |
Takeshi Nanase is an ordinary high school boy who has a somewhat dark past. Due to certain circumstances, he formed a "fake" couple with his childhood friend Kurumi Isoshima, but otherwise, he lives a normal life. However, one day, he comes across a girl named Mui Aiba, in a uniform he has never seen before, collapsed on the school campus. This encounters changes Takeshi's destiny completely. Mui tells Takeshi that she is a magician, and she apologizes, for she turned Takeshi into a magician, too. What Takeshi once knew as one world is actually two—the world where magicians live and the world where humans live. |

This anime would have been much better if it was 26 episodes. They don't really develop any of the characters very well. The story has so much to tell that it really seems like someone hit fast forward a lot. Keep the same plot but take the time to develop the characters and the story line a little better and this could easily be a 5 star anime. The ending was clearly a set up for a second season, but there never was one.
Obviously magic is the key here. Like many other story lines with magic in this one magicians try to hide their gifts from ( read more)

Obviously magic is the key here. Like many other story lines with magic in this one magicians try to hide their gifts from those people that lack any magical abilities and this causes a divide among those with magic. Eventually a war breaks out and to protect those who are without magical abilities the great wiseman divides the world into two worlds and makes it so magicians can not battle in the original world any more or they'll lose their magical abilities for forever. The concept is great and some of the fight scenes are awesome, but it just wasn't developed enough and the ending was horrible because of the way it just left you hanging. If the right people redid this anime and made it 26 to 52 episodes it could be really popular, but my advice is only watch this if you have time to waste. ( show less)

First off again I will say the rating this will get is most likely not the rating I would give it. There really isn't enough categories to really rate the anime truly.
This is a really weird anime. On one hand the story is unique with the sense that the worlds split creating a world for mages and a world for humans. It gives you characters that have at times interesting moments. The flaws are really outright. The story itself feels weird from episode to episodes cause at times it jumped to a point that wasn't really covered in the last episode ( read more)

It gives you characters that have at times interesting moments. The flaws are really outright. The story itself feels weird from episode to episodes cause at times it jumped to a point that wasn't really covered in the last episode (ep 11 to 12). The characters seem to have a bigger role, but never really goes into depth with any of them causing you to never really feel for well any character.
The Dialogue is rather average. At times you have some funny moments mixed it, but to many awkward talking points and dull sounding characters turns it rather boring at times.
Animation is where it does well. The battles or magic summons were nice a smooth and, though sort of ripped of the way Fairy Tail anime was, still gives a really beautiful feel to the anime.
Entertainment is like the rest of the anime, at times greatly entertaining and you are looking for that next episode. Then of course dull moments that you just want to skip.
Overall it is a decent anime, but 3/5 stars would be still pushing it. The anime just felt to rushed and to many unexplained things from episode to episode. Also certain things like the main characters sword seemed like it would play a big role, but then felt like it was pushed to the afterburner.
Does it deserve a second season? maybe. Should it get one? Well I would hope it does cause the ending was rather weird and I still want to see it developed. This is just an anime that need at least 25 episodes instead of 12. ( show less)
