Summary: In a technological era where the world is connected via a highly-advanced internet network, humans interact with artificial intelligence units known as Net Navis. Housed within PET handheld devices, humans and Net Navis coexist between the real and cyber worlds as friends and allies. Net Navis are designed for various tasks, most specifically battle against viruses and rogue Net Navis operated by net crime syndicates. A young boy named Netto Hikari receives his first Net Navi named Rockman and the two become an unstoppable net-battling duo. Together, they thwart the evil schemes of criminals like World Three and the Netmafia Gospel.
The year is 200X, and everything electronic is connected by internet. In this world, there is no one, rich or poor, who does not own a PET (PErsonal Terminal), and there is not one PET that does not house a NetNavi, an AI Unit that has the power to delete Viruses and the like. Net Battles (where Operators battle their NetNavis) are popular in this era. That is where Operator Hikari Netto and his NetNavi and best friend, Rockman come in. Striving to become the best NetBattlers, they fight Net Crime and protect the net and real world alike from the likes of the evil World 3.

The storyline is unique. However, the first thing that i find ridiculous is how World 3 and Gospel keep on losing to Netto. Since this is aimed at kids, I don't have a problem with the layout of this story. The only problem i have with this series is with Netto (well not with his character but about the results of every single NetBattle he has had)

This is actually good anime, it's just too bad that the Dubbed version skipped a few episodes here and there and messed up the order of the episode.

The story is good, but it lacks complications (read more)

so far so good ... but note that this is not japanese animation ...and about the age group (dialogue-wise) Id recommend it all ages (its PRETTY child-ish but realistic in a mad scientist way) Id really only recommend this to ppl who have played the megaman battlenetwork RPG combat series for GBA/NDS [[about five in total]] [which is better than the anime if uv'e played it]-but DONT go play it now because it is very old ((your ps3's and 360's will outdate it lol)). So if uve played em once and are just curious about what the anime had to offer (read more)

This is an anime that is more targetted to a younger audience, but I still enjoyed this anime. This anime shows how kids have their own way of defeating evil and showing that they can save the world. An overall excellent anime, because of the situations that make the plot interesting and funny. If you're interested in an anime that'll sink its way into your heart you'll love it, afterall this anime feels like one of those that once you watch it you want to see more.
