It's been quite some time ago ever since I stopped watching the anime (cause seriously, it's screwing up the whole series. It's really sad to see people flaming Naruto just because the anime sucks. On the contrary, I really like the original Manga, it's hella awesome!!) But I still like Naruto, so I usually watch the movies only now. Sad to say though, it's getting worse with each passing movie *sigh*
Story: There's potential, but they didn't play it out well and I couldn't feel like as if there were any climax in the story at all. Predictable ( read more)

Story: There's potential, but they didn't play it out well and I couldn't feel like as if there were any climax in the story at all. Predictable and sometimes, sad to say but it's kinda lame. Monotonous.
Nothing to say much about Dialogue and Animation since it's the same as always. Humor sprinkled here and there though, I like *spoiler?* how Yamato got to whack Kakashi on the head, and the reason for it, ha!
Entertainment: Ok so the main point of the movie? I'll say it's just for fans to get to see Minato, and in action (not much though). Guess it's also for Kakashi fans as well (though he didn't appear much) cause there just wasn't a good enough reason for him to appear, seriously. So if you're Minato fans especially, you probably don't wanna miss this movie.
But man, I'd rather that they focus on Minato instead of Naruto... In fact, they couldn't make Naruto any lamer... His fights are downright pathetic and sad, which is a real disappointment to me cause I can't believe that they had to make Naruto like that! He ain't THAT horrible in the Manga!
So in conclusion, watch this if you're in the "die die must watch every single Episode/Movie of Naruto" club. Else, the only other reasons in which you'll wanna waste your time watching this is, that you're a Minato fan, or you just have time to waste. That's all. ( show less)

Being a huge fan of Naruto wasn't enough to make this movie good. A few of the Naruto movies are bad, but this is likely the worst of them. The dialogue was extremely disjointed and badly written, which made this movie seem like one long filler. The battles, while well animated, were pretty sad, with long stretches between one person getting knocked to the ground, clambering to his feet just as the characters finish their stupidly long and unnecessary conversation... No, not the best.

This movie had so much potential. Allowing Naruto to travel back in time to fight along side with his dad seemed like a movie almost any Naruto fan would want to see. However, The Lost Towers let down too many fans with leaving Minato out of the movie for a majority of the time. The plot left too many holes unanswered, and skipped around too much.
The pros - For the first time in a while, this movie had Naruto working on his own, learning from his mistakes without the help of Kakashi and Sakura around. Instead of the other plots in previous movies, ( read more)

The pros - For the first time in a while, this movie had Naruto working on his own, learning from his mistakes without the help of Kakashi and Sakura around. Instead of the other plots in previous movies, Naruto functioned on his own [for the most part] without orders from anyone.
The cons - Only 5 minutes of Naruto and Minato fighting together. The animations were not above that of the show, which is what helps an anime movie stand out from its show. The story left too many open holes in the movie. ( show less)

I must say coming into watching this I didn't have high hopes after reading many of the reviews. However after watching I couldn't help but agree with many of the comments. The storyline was all right, but had a lot more potential than the end result. Everyone loves a good time travel movie, but I didn't see the point in erasing Naruto's memories. Anyhow it was average overall and I found Naruto's lack of fighting prowess a little disgruntling, I wasn't sure from which part of the series he came but I'm almost certain he should have had Sage Mode. so i don't know what's been going on but these last two movies have totally sucked. there was so much untapped potential with this storyline. the story started alright but quickly turned cliche. the animation quality was great as always but the story just didn't do it for me. there was just a bit too much of a stretch to have been able to blend nicely with the main plot of the series. if you're a naruto fan i'm sure that even if i recommended you NOT to watch it, you still would so i won't even try (because i'd do it). but just try to make the best ( read more)

I have been waiting for this movie ever since I read the summary in Wiki long time ago. Who wouldn't want Naruto to meet his father and actually talked to him face-to-face?!
I was so excited when I started watching this despite reading other's reviews about how much this movie was a major let down... and half way through, I can't help but to agree with the others. A major disappointment.
The story was quite bland despite the interesting summary that would sound like it came out from a fanfiction. Even if there was any interesting part, that ( read more)

The story was quite bland despite the interesting summary that would sound like it came out from a fanfiction. Even if there was any interesting part, that would only appear during the last bit of the movie. The animation wasn't that bad but the audio was a little bit too quiet.
I watched till the end but one thing for sure, I wouldn't want to watch this movie for the second time.
As a fan, I guess you should at least watch this once... just for the fun of it. Don't expect too much... because then, you can enjoy the story more than I did. ( show less)
