| Summary: |
Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni, he was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration, who in the turning point of the war simply walked away. His travels lead him to Tokyo in the 11th year of the Meiji era, where he befriends a female Kendo master, a former thief, a brawler and a doctor all with their own secrets. Together they fight off the enemies surfacing from the dark past that Kenshin cannot escape. |

Master swordplay, Awesome story for watching a good pace anime. The story tells of an master assassin and swordsman who seeks retribution by helping people. Awesome anime to watch but FUCK Anime Access for making no more free downloads. Only Plus Shit Downloads. So, Thumbs up Rurouni Kenshin, FUCK you Anime Access!!

Now that I look back on this series, I realize how cliche it was. Samurai's, Ninja's, over the top bad guys and super ultra no jutsu's (I'm sorry, their called "techniques" in this series). And I still dont care, simply because I still enjoy watching it (at least two thirds of it).
For the unintiated, Rurouni Kenshin is about Kenshin Himura. A legendary assassin who has taken and oath never to kill, and his adventures to stop injustice throughout Meiji era Japan.

The Samurai X anime is in a league of its own.The story or characterization is simply superb. To start with the anime,one has to watch the first 5 episodes of this series, before the final 1 is to be watched.Then the anime can be watched. After the anime,the last episode of Samurai X is to be watched,then only it makes sense.Also don't forget to read the manga as there has been changes in the anime i.e a different plot starts.Viewers will get to know automatically.
A must watch anime both Samurai-X and Rurouni Kenshin.

based on sword fighting with different style sword fighters combating against each other.
story was quite nice, kenshin always trying to keep his pledge of not trying to kill anyone agaiin.

This is a good anime. It's funny fun and the characters are great. I really like this but after the fight with Shishio the story got dumb. It got even worst at the end. Still when ever I recall this I always the funny antics and some characters like Sojiro.
I highly recommend you also watch the OVA. the animation is not really that good but the story is great. You get to see kenshin at his best.
