I think that Thundercats is really awesome. I missed out on the old one because i was not born yet, but this remake has re-opened my eyes to it, they changed the story-line a bit with the whole tigra being lion-o's brother but it's made the story even more intersting. The animation is really good and drawn well. I like how in this one lion-o is still learning stuff and is a kid, unlike the old one where he fell asleep in a time chamber and became super buff, but somehow his comrades stayed the same when they were in heir own cambers. This whole ( read more)

This whole new thundercats is more interesting like the action, romance, comedy and the whole explaining of their origins. I would rate this a 10/10 and hope for more episodes to come. ( show less)

I love this series. I was a fan of the original Thundercats when I was a kid and this is an excellent reboot of the series. The animation is greatly improved and I like the new angles that the writers took with the character design and development. The dialogue can be cheesy at times, but so was the dialogue on the original and any other cartoon geared toward children.
I usually wait until a series is complete before reviewing it so that I can make an informed review of the whole instead of just a part, but I had to review this because I'm ( read more)

I usually wait until a series is complete before reviewing it so that I can make an informed review of the whole instead of just a part, but I had to review this because I'm so sick and tired of the reviews I've seen for this and other american anime posted on this website bashing the series and giving it poor reviews simply because they say "This isn't anime! It's American cartoons!" This is one of the stupidest arguments any person can make because it's all a matter of semantics. The word "anime" is the Japanese word for "cartoon" and is short for "animation" (or as it would be pronounced in Japanese ah-ni-meh-shon). Japanese animation was derived from Disney animation and European animation when it was first introduced in Japan and there is no difference between American animation, Japanese animation, or animation from any other country. Animation is still animation no matter where you go and can be for children, teens, or adults. In Japan, the term anime does not specify an animation's nation of origin or style; instead, it serves as a blanket term to refer to all forms of animation from around the world, so why do we pointlessly fight over the term so much? Season 1 which ran for 13 episodes was great, however season two has reach the point where you cant wait for the animosity between the brothers to end. With that said its a nice remake of a classic cartoon.

@nasaq: they've got MKV files,, if you meant MP4 I'll see if I can provide them (leave a comment on ThunderCat's first episode or something in case you still read this)
for the anime: kid-friendly, thus can get corny, but still a nice fantasy with smooth animation and good voice acting. not the best of all time IMO but defintiely not a waste of time.

This version of the thundercats follows a grand tradition of Awesome Cartoons but this time in a Anime format.
With a story that is wholely independant of the Original thundercats it represents a full new take on the clasic tale. The story has still the random episodes that allow it to have a gentle pace which is nice for once to not watch an Anime thats sole focus is expanding the plot or else. However with that said, I must say this story is still focused on story. It flows increasingly at a goal yet at a pace you can absorb. Its quite fantastic. ( read more)

The Dialogue is Awesome... part because its done In English... Japanese actors are good. and in some [Code Geas] I prefere the Japanese, but the Strong American/English language is suited for voice acting on epic stories especialy fantisy. Although with this one we got a treat. I can tell the main actor is from Batman Begins and the Animated series voice of Count Dooku is here to. There are tons of great actors who I recognize but cant place. They add depth and strength to the Amazing amount of differnt and awesome characters.
Animation is actually really good. One can lose sight of how beautiful except when you go back to other anime and look at the little details missed. This anime Wont hit record books but honestly their isnt a spot in the Thundercats that wasnt handled like a Old Favorite story and given the respect that title endears.
Entertainment. I must confess it does still give off a kiddy vibe... probably because the forbares epic kiddy vibe despite its serious nature. However this series is both entertaining and a more mature audience would still love it. Not so much blood and guts nor so much phycological nor an average slice of life... however its great action.. and flowing story.
Check it out it might be enjoyable for you if you like mostly happy strong Action. ( show less)

As one that watched the original Thundercats.. I must say that I'm pleased with this one. Although the story is tweaked, I like the new twist and animation. I enjoy watching the characters develop through time, and I like the use of appropriate flashbacks for explanations. Overall, 5/5 due to nice graphics, interesting take on character developments, and interesting story.
