For generations, the Thunderians have lived and thrived in the kingdom of Thundera. However, one night the kingdom is attacked by the Lizard army, led by the evil sorcerer Mumm-Ra. After Thundera is destroyed, a small band of surviving Thunderians, led by the young heir to the throne Lion-O, who wields the powerful Sword of Omens, flees in order to seek out the Book of Omens, which is said to have the knowledge needed to defeat Mumm-Ra.

This version of the thundercats follows a grand tradition of Awesome Cartoons but this time in a Anime format.
With a story that is wholely independant of the Original thundercats it represents a full new take on the clasic tale. The story has still the random episodes that allow it to have a gentle pace which is nice for once to not watch an Anime thats sole focus is expanding the plot or else. However with that said, I must say this story is still focused on story. It flows increasingly at a goal yet at a pace you can absorb. Its quite fantastic.
The Dialogue is Awesome... part because its done In English... Japanese actors are good. and in some [Code Geas] I prefere the Japanese, but the Strong American/English language is suited for voice acting on epic stories especialy fantisy. Although with this one we got a treat. I can tell the main actor is from Batman Begins and the Animated series voice of Count Dooku is here to. There are tons of great actors who I recognize but cant place. They add depth and strength to the Amazing amount of differnt and awesome characters.
Animation is actually really good. One can lose sight of how beautiful except when you go back to other anime and look at the little details missed. This anime Wont hit record books but honestly their isnt a spot in the Thundercats that wasnt handled like a Old Favorite story and given the respect that title endears.
Entertainment. I must confess it does still give off a kiddy vibe... probably because the forbares epic kiddy vibe despite its serious nature. However this series is both entertaining and a more mature audience would still love it. Not so much blood and guts nor so much phycological nor an average slice of life... however its great action.. and flowing story.
Check it out it might be enjoyable for you if you like mostly happy strong Action.
