Well this one is very original. Its story is superb though a little scattered in this first season. Still though, it has a wonderful way of brining you into it while flowing in a original way not letting you know where it will go next.

The Dialogue is fairly brilliant. The characters are all differnt and have varried emotions and ideas to the point that you being to enjoy every character. And unlike other animations it doesnt paint anyone as bad even the opposing forces. The voice actors do amasing jobs as well.

The animation is strict and true while having a flowing effect. its wonderful all the way around and quite fun.

The Entertainment is good. Its a story that is mostly random while pushing toward a conclushion. I would say its more of a story about the wildness of life and how certain forces push on it and what everyday people do to react to it. However all that is just on the serface- its also a cute story with fun characters and everyday fun. The music also adds in great touches to make it well suited for slice of life or comedy easily. Just as it is for action.

If you like fun action oriented shows this is a blast. (show less)

I watched this season after watching the first, and sadly, not much has changed. It still has a bunch of new characters that are cast aside for even more new characters to the point where you only know the names of the main characters!

As for the action, the pre-fight speeches are at least 4x longer than the fight itself, REALLY! The speeches about who is right or wrong before a fight literally go on for like 5 minutes.

Also, this series does have a fair amount of ecchi every now and then, but just enough to NOT qualify as an ecchi series. To be honest, a rare flash of panties or cleavage was rather refreshing every now and then.

Ultimately though, this series was a dissapointment. Once one problem was solved, another one appeared in the very next episode with yet another confusing, non-rememberable name or reason. It became hard to follow the plot, and soon it became hard to even care, as this is an anime where ALL the main characters are "protected" from serious danger.

This anime was a letdown really. Kinda overrated. Time to move on, I guess. (show less)

To aru Majutsu no index is absolutely epic
it has a very complex story with plot turns every episode making no episode boring
completely lacks fillers and every episode has something to do with the plot
the only annoying thing about this story is toma's narrative before fights but tbh it doesnt affect my overall impression of the series
very unique story that pulls you in with 3 seasons atm (index 1, index 2, and the side story about mikoto) overall around 72 episodes with another season probably coming this fall so this anime will last a while too (show less)

A very nice anime with good animation. I have read the novel at least three times until the latest volume, and compared to the anime, the novel is still better. Even so, I must give at least 7.5/10 points for Toaru Majutsu no Index for the characters and smart-extremely-long-dialogue, though the plot disappointed me. After the first seven episodes, the rest of the episodes have nothing to do with Index anymore. She even hardly get screen time, and more like one of the supporting characters instead of the main one. So why did they name it after Index, is a wonder to me. And even though they kept saying 'If Science and Magic clash, the epic will happen', as far as we could see, nothing really happened. I know that I'm giving more the negative side than the positive one of this anime, but it really does enjoyable and fun to watch. Not recommended for those under 16s, though, since it has a lot of violent-scenes and some fanservices in almost every episode. (show less)
