As a beautiful daughter of the noble family del Moral, Fana was proposed by Prince Carlo, who is the crown prince of their country Levamme. However, since Levamme is at war with Amatsuvian, the marriage had to wait until the war ends. Meanwhile, as a bestado, the lowest caste in Levamme, Charles had always dreamed of flying and eventually became the ace pilot of the air force. Although he was often mistreated, a glorious chance came about when the Amatsuvian bombarded del Moral's home in order to get rid of the future empress. Charles was then entrusted with the top secret mission of delivering the princess to the prince.
The story revolves around Charles Karino, a Levamme Empire mercenary aerial pilot who mans the twin-seater reconnaissance seaplane Santa Cruz. One day, he receives a preposterous assignment: to fly solo over 12,000 kilometers of enemy waters to transport a girl named Fana del Moral. Fana happens to be betrothed to the empire's crown prince and is a girl possessing beauty "equal to 5,000 beams of light". |

This movie is definitely worth watching. The story presents a young boy who grew up being mistreated due to his mixed heritage (one coming from the enemy state). Even if he is the best pilot there is, he is not given the recognition due to him simply because of this racial discrimination. Yet out of severe circumstances, the forces simply have to sent the best in order to safely deliver the empress-to-be.

This is more about the journey than the destination. It shows the hardship of the pilot as well as the development of the princess into becoming the key to end the endless war.
You will definitely enjoy the flying tactics of the pilot and shocked at how the princess matured from no-personality into something worth writing down in history. ( show less)
