Now I´m a huge fan of the franchise, but I was sadly very disappointed with this "movie"(explanation further down). It might be because of the hype before the movie, but I was expecting a grand spectacular mind-blowing duel that almost broke the space-time continuum to shreds. And we get this. Not only is it way too short to be even called a movie(calling it an OVA would probably be more correct, in terms of length), there was no build-up, it lacked that intense end-of-the-world feeling it was supposed to have(it was lurking somewhere in the background, ( read more)

The only thing saving this thing from being total bullcrap is the intresting character of Paradox(which granted could have been more fleshed out if the movie was longer), the interaction between the three main characters and believe it or not Judais timeline being destroyed :) That dark-red atmosphere littered with destruction, and out of nowhere Judai comes and acts like the badass he became in season four, I just thought that was an awesome scene, worth to be mentioned :) ( show less)

This movie I believed to be awesome, but that wont be the case unless you are a fan of the series. If you are trying to get into YGO this will not do it for you. If you watch it on a whim, chances are you wont enjoy it. This movie was produced for fans of the series, who are ecstatic to see the main characters unite against a powerful opponent. The story doesn't drag out, because if you are watching this movie, chances are you know the background of each character. The characters don't get to bond as much as one may hope, but realistically the characters ( read more)

The story doesn't drag out, because if you are watching this movie, chances are you know the background of each character. The characters don't get to bond as much as one may hope, but realistically the characters have a certain amount of time to beat the foe of the movie. The story is not very detailed in the matter of why Paradox is doing what he does, but it is explained in the 5ds series, which connect to this movie so there is no real reason to waste time and budget. Plus like I said if you are watching this, chances are you have seen the series already, so you should not be left in the dark. This movie gives you an understanding of the plot quickly and perfectly. It's animation is top notch and really caters to the fans by giving a sense of nostalgia. The duel was interesting and both sides shared equal blows, not making it seem boring or one sided., but an actual battle. I enjoyed it and you will too if you are a fan if you are not it is easy to be disappointed. watching this with out being a fan if the equivalent of watching an Ova of a series but not watching the series itself, that would leave unexplained gaps to the viewer and turn to resentment of what you are watching. If you are expecting a deep story or just not a fan then don't torture yourself by watching, you watch this only as a true fan of the series looking to see old faces, beloved strategies and best of all Yu-Gi-Oh, . Okay, the idea of having the three main characters together from all series in a movie is great. The story and plot seemed good at first, but that is...until you actually watch the movie. When I watched it I was greatly disappointed. It began at a random moment and then led to another random moment. There's alot of random moments in this story with no transitions at all. The dialogue was horrible because the three main's didn't really spend much time talking to each other. It was annoying how open they were to helping each other and becoming friends ( read more)

When I watched it I was greatly disappointed. It began at a random moment and then led to another random moment. There's alot of random moments in this story with no transitions at all. The dialogue was horrible because the three main's didn't really spend much time talking to each other. It was annoying how open they were to helping each other and becoming friends without even figuring out any background information. Plus it was only those three shown throughout the movie. We got to see none of Yugi's friends (well Pegasus but that was obvious as his role was just to die). Judai's friends were out of the picture. Yusei's friends took upon the role of cheerleaders with nothing to contribute at all. Okay, the animation was really great, even greater than the anime itself, but the thing is that they could have been somewhat more realistic. I mean for peat sake! Paradox destroyed Domino City! The least the animators could do is show us some bodies or blood! But the main issue with this movie was the duel. They only had ONE duel, which lasted for 7 turns between the four of them. It was really short and didn't show much of a struggle on their part. The could have at least showed Paradox and Yusei duel in the beginning or Judai and Paradox duel each other in the middle, but no, they left us with one duel which was greatly disappointing, especially with some of the new cards they used that are SO ONE-SIDED! Especially how they won, you'll find out, very one-sided. It was stupid that they killed off Paradox without even having some reaction afterwards. It was like, lets just forget the villain we defeated and go home without even asking a second question! This movie was a great disappointment, they could have done a lot better. The first movie was way greater than this one in every aspect, except animation of course. Oh yeah, FYI, this movie is only 40-50 minutes long...not that long...for something that was advertised so much on the media, it sure was really short. I would only see Die-hard YGO fans actually enjoying this movie without seeing any faults. But die-hard YGO fans can be compared to Narutards, people who see no fault in a show whatsoever and support it like a crazy fan-boy/girl. ( show less)
