When I first heard about "Fist of the North Star", I was put off by the premise. I thought that this was one of those fight-to-the-death animes that would bore me. My friends joked about how manly you could become after watching it. Of course, I thought of it as a joke but, decided to give it try and I was converted. I had overlooked a great piece.

The story is actually quite simple which is a good start. Sometimes we don't want to think, we just want to sit back and enjoy. Then we have the characters. I think we have a kickass protagonist. Ken kills the bad guys, helps people in need, and is unbeatable. The animation sequences are repetitive in some instances but, it didn't stop me from watching the entire anime. I find that by the end of each episode, I want to watch more. Another bonus item about the series that I liked was the soundtrack.

Please do not hold any bias because Fist of the North Star is a great show to watch. It may be out of your comfort zone if you don't watch shounen anime but, it can't hurt to try. (show less)
