If your looking for some action with a little bit of ecchi and comedy then Hidan no Aria maybe just for you. The fact that we're dealing with legendary literary figures like the famous detective Holmes and the great thief Lupin in the body of cute girls (who happens to be their descendants!) who can wield dual blades and guns is enough to at least arouse your interest throw in a guy who changes personality (hysteria mode) when sexually arouse plus a Miko who is a trained fighter we get a balance mixture of action, comedy, romance and a bit of ecchi on the side. The villains aren't so bad as well as we got an ice-wielding Jean de Arc (it seems she survive the fire and manage to have children!) and Vlad a.k.a. Dracula who turns out to be a half vampire-werewolf and is good at genetics. This anime has just the right balance, the action is great to watch, the characters are fun and interesting, the comedy and ecchi part is just enough. Though the plot may not be solid considering it's only made up of 12 episodes there are still plenty of entertainment value on each episode and hope that a sequel will provide much more insight since there are still a lot of things that are left out. I mean, the story has so much potentia. Come on!! Don't waste it!! it can so be expanded upon. like maybe the origin of the hysterica mode, or the other battles of the rest of the EU and what about his brother!? and who the heck is kana!? seriously. are they just going to let the 'killing of vlad' end just like that? no 'cut down 99 years of prison' thingy and rejoyce or aria's mom getting out of jail? or even better, getting out of jail and telling aria and kinji that there is more behind the EU etc. a huge conspiracy!? Oh come on... it was so interesting...please dont end it now.. else the rest of the viewers will be dissapointed as well. btw, what about shirayuki and kinji? and kinji's parents and aria's dad? what happen to them? or more importantly, what will happen to aria and kinji once she found out the true trigger behind the hysterical mode and that he only goes for hysterica mode that furiously for her!? better yet, when aria finally acknowledges the existance of love. and i mean it in the romantic terms with kinji (need i say obivously?). I wanna see how aria battle out with shirayuki for kinji!! and reki! how on earth did she end up being like a machine like girl? oh and what's with vlads' obession over wolves and how the heck did he get into the high security butei academy!? oh and did anyone even notice that the butei sch has no other teachers in it? or at least, none whom we have seen....!!! dont be like those cliffhanger animes=( MORE PLEASE! >< (show less)

Righty ho! Seemign as i got positive feedback on my last review i decided to one more for the day

Hidan no Aria's Story may not be so complex as many other anime's, but the reason i decided to give it a good was because of how it flows and keeps you at the edge of your seat on most episodes (exception is when they finish off one of the "Bosses" then everything seems normal till they meet the next brigade in the next episode).
Also to take note of is that you might get confused with the first episode, worry not everything fits into place with the next 2 episodes. And later you might notice how the writer cleverly adds in a sneaky manner "heroic" peoples names into each characters

The dialogue, is just funny, you'll laugh as much as you watch and be oogling at the action and how they turn the fight around, but to be 100% honest, it's not the best dialogue i've seen, could be a little better, but still enjoyable none the less.

As to the animation, i would give it an excellent but, i don't think anything is perfect so i gave it a good instead, but don't get me wrong it's still very good, that's what makes the fighting scenes so much more enjoyable.

Entertainment? Great! everything about the anime is good, with the exception of the dialogue here and there, fight scenes are just awsome, so definatly a must watch! i recommend it (show less)
