This anime has one of the strangest concepts for a romance I have ever seen. And I absolutely love it =D. The strangeness of the saliva exchange concept makes for a very different feel to this anime, setting it appart from all other romance anime I have watched. However, this series does fall for the cardinal sin of romance anime of the relationship not going anywhere throughout the series. They 'progress' somewhat, however it kinda misses the step of them ever actually opening up to each other, and just having them 'feel' each other through their connection. It worked for a while, however I loved the strange feel the music and animation gave the anime, thus the lack of connection became apparent. Still a good anime though =D! (show less)

Before anyone crticizes me, I'm a great fan of the original manga and I would clearly give 10/10 for that. But after watching the first few episodes of the anime, I'd say I'm not impressed.
The very first thing I disliked about the anime is the music and sounds. I don't have problems with the opening and ending. But with it's sometimes eery tone, the music is emphasizing the weirdness of the story.
I've felt the weirdness of the "daily routine", but I could easily get over it. I mean almost the same thing happens when two people kiss.
In my opinion the story is not (and should not be) about weirdness, but the connection of two people, lovers, and that love can and should transcend plain sexuality. In other words it's about pure love and acceptance of the other. But the atmosphere of the anime is a way different than this, and I mainly blame the sounds and music for that. (show less)

The thing that only set this series apart from the typical "he said she said teen love drama" is this wierd fetish with the consumsion of another's saliva. Miss Mokoto Urabe Momoto's flashy scissors slipping out from her panties, however her loved stuck boyfriend, Mr Akira Tsubaki can be way too timid and a bit too lacking in confidence. There's the underlying certainty that they will end up in a coital situation by the sieres end. If it in fact ends on a good note. This would be my actual second review but somehow I didn't get credit for the first one. (It was a more crtical one btw). So, you should check it out first, but if you're not into patheic gossip/cheating/manipulating/shceming/high school love drama.Then look to another please.

Despite the fact it's totally weird and creepy, it's concept in itself and the weirdness itself is in a way very original for the story. It's not like the typical kind of romance comedy! (u got that right!!) It's comedy is not very good but i find the comedy more situational, the comedy is not direct. I enjoy the concept, able to understand each other feelings, physical conditions, and memories through drool, which it ok but I wish they use a different medium but then how. telepathically could work but i feel that's been done. Like the comment titles, I find it very cute and it is something I would watch again. With this kind of story though, how would you end it, like the anime series! One season, most likely end when they finally kiss i bet, that's the only climax resolution i can think of. When i think about it, if she dies, he dies! unless he finds someone else. (show less)
