This anime has one of the strangest concepts for a romance I have ever seen. And I absolutely love it =D. The strangeness of the saliva exchange concept makes for a very different feel to this anime, setting it appart from all other romance anime I have watched. However, this series does fall for the cardinal sin of romance anime of the relationship not going anywhere throughout the series. They 'progress' somewhat, however it kinda misses the step of them ever actually opening up to each other, and just having them 'feel' each other through their connection. It worked for a while, however I loved the strange feel the music and animation gave the anime, thus the lack of connection became apparent. Still a good anime though =D! (show less)

Despite the fact it's totally weird and creepy, it's concept in itself and the weirdness itself is in a way very original for the story. It's not like the typical kind of romance comedy! (u got that right!!) It's comedy is not very good but i find the comedy more situational, the comedy is not direct. I enjoy the concept, able to understand each other feelings, physical conditions, and memories through drool, which it ok but I wish they use a different medium but then how. telepathically could work but i feel that's been done. Like the comment titles, I find it very cute and it is something I would watch again. With this kind of story though, how would you end it, like the anime series! One season, most likely end when they finally kiss i bet, that's the only climax resolution i can think of. When i think about it, if she dies, he dies! unless he finds someone else. (show less)

I digress, I had previously said that there were only a few anime series these past few weeks that caught my interest. Well, oddly enough Nazo no Kanojo X really didn't seem like a series I would get into. Or so I had originally thought. If you are looking for that love story with the most ridiculous bizarre turns of events out there, then is the series for you! I was personally dumbfounded when first watching the series premiere, and unexpectedly enticed by the sheer presence of a WTF type anime series. It is a really good series. Nazo No Kanjo X (Mysterious Girlfriend X) is best described as very entertaining. If you are not grossed-out on the fact that the characters are somehow "connected" to each other by "drool"...YES... D R O O L, then you'll find that this anime is worth watching. If you have not seen this anime nor have read the manga I suggest you do both. I have read the manga (65 chapters as Im writing this) and I have watched all 4 episodes and I must say they have stuck with the story line from the manga with only subtle changes here and there. If you can get past the "drool" factor then you'll definitely find yourself amused with the characters and the story. Not too much fan service here, so for those who are NOT fond of ecchi, you can try it out as well. (show less)
