Mato Kuroi just got into junior high school, and on the first day, someone catches her eye; her classmate Yomi Takanashi. The two meet.
The innocent and naive Mato. The mature Yomi. Seemingly opposites, but the time they spend together only strengthens a growing friendship.
But as they go into their second year at the school, they get placed in separate classes, and they begin to grow apart.
But somewhere simultaneously...
In another world, a young girl, blue fire residing in her eyes, Black Rock Shooter faces another young girl; this one holding a jet-black scythe, Dead Master, and a battle to the death begins to unfold. |

Friendship is a curious thing, isn't it? Everyone wants to have at least one good friend, however... wait, wait, wait! Is this even about Black★Rock Shooter? Actually... yes. Pretty much. Totally. Because this whole OVA is about friendship; not that you could guess after watching the trailer...)

Okay, so I was having a really high expectation for this OVA; the art style and the summary are definitely making most of the otaku laid their eyes on it, amazing songs and pictures spread on the internet, as if saying that "Oh, it's gonna be one hell of an awesome anime!". But after watching it, I am greatly disappointed. The characters are quite common, most of the dialogue could be found easily in a friendship-themed anime, but the story are unclear and kinda rushing, though the art-style really does amazing. But after watching it, I am greatly disappointed. The characters are quite common, most of the dialogue could be found easily in a friendship-themed anime, but the story are unclear and kinda rushing, though the art-style really does amazing. There are only a few characters and less dialogue from the awesome ones. If they are going to re-make or making this into anime, I might watch it again, in case the quality gotten better and forgot that I ever watch this anime. Ever. ( show less)

Really slow place and boring?

I had to force myself to watch this movie from the beginning to end. I know it didn't capture my attention because I had to take a break from it every ten minutes. The animation is amazing and I know it's in the slice of life genre, but still it was really boring. There are those who like it but it made me wish I had watched something else or spent my time elsewhere.

I was excited about this when I saw the REMARKABLE preview! It was fast lively cool and action packed. but when the real story came it was chunky and slow and often incoherent. As it had potential it felt as though it jammed a hour and a half to two hour film into fourty five minutes. often fight scenes were incomplete and just popped up between transititions with no explanation. As the story had promise it destroyed it by trying to be a short OVA than going for the glory the preview gave and Miku Hatsune deserves.
